Software Licence Agreement

This licence agreement is aimed at being short, simple and unrestrictive, but at the same time protecting myself and the program.

"the software" refers to BackDate, its installation software and all accompanying dependency software. Portions of the dependency software is property of Microsoft Corporation and is distributed in accordance with their license agreement.
"EULA" refers to this document, the End User License Agreement.
"you" refers to any user of the software.
"we", "our" and "us" refers to Mark Mearns.

  1. By using the software, you are agreeing to be bound under UK law to this EULA. The terms of this EULA may be varied at anytime without prior notice. You must make it your responsibility to regularly check this EULA for changes which may affect the way you use the software.
  2. The software is distributed on a freeware basis. This means you are free to use the software without charge and are also allowed to distribute the software freely providing no charge is made (except reasonable charge to cover the cost of media etc. for distribution).
  3. The software remains the property of us at all times. Your right to use the software is just that, as granted by this EULA.
  4. You may not under any circumstances disassemble, reverse engineer the software. The software is *not* open source at present.
  5. We cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage caused to your computer or the software installed on it caused by the software. The software does not contain any malicious code, and in our opinion is incapable of causing damage.
  6. No warranty is made that the software will work. It has been extensively tested, but some programs may still not run even with the use of the software. This is not the fault of the software.
